Background

Trout Unlimited members are hungry for information. They need a way to get news about the organization, conservation, and local chapter happenings. Newsletters provide sporadic insights into what is happening and websites can help to deliver information, but a native mobile app can provide instant access to up-to-date information and push notifications that promote easy access to news and events.

Discovery

Identified user experience enhancements that can be provided via a mobile app.

1. Instant access to both national organization as well as specific local chapter news and info.
2. Account information could be managed and renewed.
3. Volunteer opportunities could be promoted and members could easily register to participate.
4. Social opportuntites could be seamlessly intertwined into app use.

Problem Statement

Trout Unlimited members need a better way to get and contribute with national organization and local chapter news and events because current resources are dispersed and disjointed experiences.

Design System

A comprehensive responsive design system has been created to provide consistent, on brand, reusable components and enable the efficient creation of more effective UI deliverables.

Built into a Figma library the design system includes foundational elements of color, typography, elevation, and spacing. Components leverage these foundational elements to provide common UI features and allow for consistent application of specific interactions. Patterns utilizing the components demonstrate common user experience flows.

Prototype

To demonstrate design intent, validate the functionality, and test the effectiveness an interactive prototype was constructed.
